Frequently Asked Questions

1. What software do I need to have to use these templates?

You will need to have some version Photoshop to work with these templates along with a very good working knowledge of how to use it.

2. Are your templates compatible with PSE?

Yes. My templates are layered psd files that are compatible with all versions of Photoshop, and Photoshop Elements.

3. Are your templates an action?

No. My templates are not an action. They are completely layered psd files.

4. Can I change colors and text on the templates?

Yes. They are fully layered, meaning each element is in it's own layer and can be moved around, or have the colors changed. To change the colors you choose that particular layer in your layer's palette and then use the hue/sat adjustment to change the color to your liking.

Any text that comes on the templates is in a rasterized (flattened) state (in it's own layer of course) so that you can delete that layer if you want to. Then you are able to use your own font, and type your own message on the template as you like. The text comes in a flattened state so that you are able to use/view the text without having to have that particular font installed on your computer. If it were not in a flattened state, and you did not own that particular font, you would not be able to view or use the text as you see them on my site.

5. Do the actual fonts come with my purchase?

No. You are purchasing the templates from me only. Not the fonts. However, the names of the fonts used in each template is included on the templates so that you can go purchase them yourself if you want to. A good place to start is myfonts.com. If for some reason (especially on my older templates) the font name is not included on your template, just email me at beyondredandgreen@yahoo.com and I will be happy to give you the name. Please note that the handwriting font on my 2007 Christmas templates and some of my earlier baby templates is my own writing, and there is NOT a font available. However, a very good place to find handwriting fonts is found
here.
Please make sure you respect their terms of use.

6. I want to order some of the templates that are available individually, but I don't see a button to add them to my cart.

Because you can choose the size of your order when purchasing templates that are available individually (not all templates are...please read above each set to see if they are) you will need to paypal directly to beyondredandgreen@yahoo.com for the correct amount, and then put in the notes area which templates you are ordering. Please make sure you put the email address you want the templates sent to in your order. Otherwise they will go to the email address provided by paypal.

7. How do I "paypal to slsphotography@msn.com?"

Login to your paypal account, and then click on "send money." Fill in all the information required, and type in beyondredandgreen@yahoo.com for the email address that you want to pay to. Check to make sure your total and template numbers are correct, and then complete the transaction. Easy-peasy!

In addition, if you want to order a template set AND some individual templates along with it, you do not have to use the "add to cart" buttons, and can just total your order and paypal the total directly to my email address as explained above.

8. What if I don't have a paypal account? Can I send you a check?

No. I'm sorry! I don't accept payment any other way. However, if you don't have a paypal account and don't want to get one, just send me an email (beyondredandgreen@yahoo.com) and give me the total that you want to purchase and I will send you an invoice from paypal. You will get an email from them asking you to pay, and you just follow the instructions.

9. Will the templates be sent to me on CD? Or how will I receive them?

No. Nothing will be physically sent to you when you purchase templates. You are purchasing digital items, NOT physical items, cards or CDs. Templates are sent out using a digital delivery company called yousendit.com. You will get an email from them with the link to download your templates. Please keep an eye on your junk/spam mail folder in case this email goes there.

10. How long does it take to receive my templates?

You will receive your templates within 24 hours of purchasing, but usually much sooner. I am very prompt with getting templates out, so if you have not heard from me, please check your junk mail folder, check the email that you provided in your order, or the email provided by your paypal account, or shoot me an email at beyondredandgreen@yahoo.com, or slsphotography@msn.com.

11. I ordered templates from you and never received ANYTHING!

Please check your junk/spam folder at the email address that you provided in your paypal payment. If you did not provide a specific email address that you wanted them sent to, then please check the email address that you use to login to paypal with. If you didn't provide another email address in your order, I have no choice but to send them to the email provided by your paypal account. Also, if you have your junk/spam folder set to purge junk mail immediately, then you may miss the yousendit.com email all together.

Also, I get emails from people several days or even weeks after they place an order sometimes accusing me of not sending templates. Please email me sooner if you have not received your order. I strive to provide very prompt service and excellent customer service. I would love to help you locate your order, or re-send you a link.

12. I still can't find my order (and I've done all the above), OR I think my order DID get deleted in my spam folder, OR my download link expired before I could download my order, OR my computer crashed and my templates are gone, OR my download says "corrupted file" after downloading...

No worries! Send me an email (beyondredandgreen@yahoo.com) with the date you purchased templates and your paypal transaction number, and I will be happy to get you another link. ;)

13. Can I get together with a group of people and all pitch in to pay, and then share my files/download?

No. File sharing is not allowed. You will be stealing if you do this. Please read my complete terms before ordering ANY of my templates.

14. I've read your terms...but am unclear on if I can use them. I am a professional photographer and want to use your templates for my clients with the images that I took...

If you are unclear on ANY part of my terms, just email me.

If you are a professional photographer wanting to use these templates for your clients with images that YOU took, then yes...this type of usage is allowed.

However, I DO NOT ALLOW USAGE OF MY TEMPLATES FOR THE FOLLOWING: card making companies (meaning you have people send you their images (snap shots or otherwise) and you make cards for them and sell them to the general public or anyone else) OR the re-selling of my actual templates OR the re-selling of any design element in my templates in any other form, OR a template made with my design elements and redesigned in any way. You also cannot take credit for my templates as your own, OR take credit for ANY design element used in my templates, OR use any design element for other things such as (but not limited to) your website or splash page, gift certificates, logos, storyboards, wall art, or any other manner, etc. etc. You will be in breech of my terms and the copyright of my designs if you do any of these things and I can/will prosecute to the fullest extent of the law. All that I am asking is that you PLEASE respect my terms and my work.

15. I downloaded my templates, but all you sent me was several copies of your terms! Please send me the templates I paid for!!

Rest assured, you have received the templates you ordered. Each template has a layer that gives a brief description of my terms, and I'm hoping you will read and be aware of them. If you read that terms layer on your templates...it gives instructions to delete that layer after you have read and agreed to my terms. To do this, simply go to your layer's palette and right click on that layer, and then choose "delete". That layer will then be gone, and your beautiful template revealed underneath. Similarly, you will also need to delete the instruction layer after it is read/used as well.

16. I've read on your site that I need to submit some information with my order. Is there more than one way to do that?

Yes. You can either use this form, or you can put the needed information in the memo area of your paypal payment. You can also send me an email with the information.

17. After I have submitted my information and/or the form, do I need to wait to hear back from you before I go ahead and order?

No, I don't respond to the submitted forms, but rather keep them on file. As long as you meet my requirements, and have submitted the information, you can go ahead and order.
